What We Do
Each and every day government makes decisions that bring greater regulatory scrutiny, greater public scrutiny and changes in the way you do business. At some point, every organization faces a vitally important need to communicate its message. When you need your message heard, we can make sure you have a voice in the public debate.
Murtha's Government Affairs Group provides comprehensive and integrated services ranging from legislative and administrative lobbying to the creation and implementation of client-based public policy strategies designed to achieve successful results. Together with the firm's many legal experts, the Government Affairs Group offers clients extraordinary knowledge of the people, the policies and the processes of government. In addition to knowledge and experience gained at the highest levels of government, the Group’s resources include a direct computer link to the Legislative Information Network at the Capitol which provides real-time access to legislative developments – so clients can know what is happening, when it’s happening.
We work to attain organizational goals, to ensure message integrity and to design cost-effective strategies that will implemented discreetly and effectively. Whether introducing a new idea or reinforcing the value of an old one, the Group brings collaborative and innovative approaches to help solve client issues.
The five members of the Government Affairs Group utilize a team approach to lobbying. We do the homework on the issues and individuals involved in the client’s area of interest and provide constant coverage to meet the client's needs. In addition to our own expertise and extensive contacts throughout all levels of state government, we utilize the considerable resources of the firm and its various practice groups. The Group has access to the firm's attorneys to provide background expertise and support on a wide range of issues when needed.
